Southwestern Adventist University offers personable professors, 58 majors including business, nursing, and education, master’s programs, and many ways for students to get involved both on campus and abroad. The Fire Science program is a unique offering, with EMT certification. The Institute of Film, only 2 years in the making, already has award-winning student film projects. The campus is home to 88.3 The Journey Radio Station and the Dinosaur Science Museum and Research Center, which is home to more than 20,000 dinosaur bones excavated through the Dinosaur Research Project. In 2018, Southwestern Adventist University was named in the top 20 Best Colleges in the west region by U.S. News. With a diverse student body that includes international students from 31 countries and an average student/teacher ratio of 12:1, Southwestern offers a uniquely diverse and personal college experience.
