Project-based Learning in the First Year: Beyond All Expectations (2019)

The authors have two goals:  First, to show the value of project-based work for first-year undergraduate students; and second, to share how to introduce this work into first-year programs.  The content is applicable to all grade levels, though—any teacher or school that wants to actively engage its students in understanding and solving real-world problems through project work.  The possibilities for interdisciplinary projects are addressed as well.
