Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World, 2019

The author reports on his examination of the most successful athletes, artists, musicians, inventors, and scientists.  He discovered that in most fields—particularly those that are complex—generalists, not specialists, are the most successful. Educators can readily apply this information to interdisciplinary teaching and learning.
