Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in a Digital Age, 2015

Author also of Alone Together, Sherry Turkle builds on the theme of the impact of technology on relationships.  She says we have sacrificed conversation for mere connection.  “When we turn to our devices instead of to one another, the cost is high:  a loss of empathy.”  However, conversation cures.  Based on five years of research and interviews, Turkle argues that this is the time to reclaim conversation.
