The Blue Parakeet: Rethinking How You Read the Bible, 2018

As pets, parakeets are often caged or their wings are clipped to keep them where we want them.  The author projects that we may do the same thing with the Bible as we try to tame it to fit our needs.  Instead, we should reexamine the way we read the Bible.  Stop trying to tame it and see it as a story that we’re all summoned to enter and to carry forward in our day.
