The authors emphasize that simply adopting new curriculum materials is unlikely to significantly change teacher practice. Rather, they propose a framework that they refer to as Curriculum-based Professional Learning. The framework enables teachers to deepen their understanding of the essential components of successful curriculum implementation that will lead to a positive impact on student learning.
