Why Learn History (When It’s Already on Your Phone), 2018

The author begins with the question, “With the internet at our fingertips, what’s a teacher of history to do?”  First of all, read-the-chapter-answer-the-questions is not preparing our learners for the future.  We must equip them with new tools, tools that will provide an orientation to the world that cultivates critical thinking.  Surrounded as we are with information, it is time to reconsider how we teach history.
