The author debunks the notion of the average-size-fits-all model; there is no “average person.” It is scientifically wrong to assume that comparative metrics like school grades can reveal something meaningful about one’s potential. Rather, an alternative is offered that will help us appreciate uniqueness and show us how to take advantage of individuality.
