The Homiletical Plot: The Sermon as Narrative Art Form, 2000

This is a book on the art of preaching.  Lowry suggests that a sermon follow a narrative form that moves from beginning to end, as with the plot of a story.  There are some significant implications for curriculum and instruction as well.  Heidi Hayes Jacobs and Allison Zmuda encourage this approach in their book, Streamlining the Curriculum: Using the Storyboard Approach to Frame Compelling Learning Journeys.
